Gympie

The Gympie Branch of QJA is based in Gympie a regional town in the Wide Bay-Burnett region of Queensland, Australia. It is about 160 kilometres north of the state capital, Brisbane. Located in the beautiful Mary Valley.

Meetings of the branch are held on the first Saturday in September, December, March and June, at 6 Pamela Road, Arulen 4570 commencing at 2:00pm. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in July each year immediately after the July ordinary meeting.

Community

Professional Development

The Branch supports the professional development of its members via the inclusion of an in-service training session at each Branch meeting.

Periodically, the Branch also conducts refresher workshops for members.

Signing Centres

The Branch supports its local community by encouraging and supporting qualified JPs and CDecs to volunteer at a number of local signing centres including the following:

  • Gympie Magistrates' Court     Adjacent to registry counter
  • Gympie Central Shopping Centre       Next to the juice bar in the food hall
  • Gympie Library       In the foyer 3 Mellor Street
  • Southside Shopping Centre      Located in Malouf's Pharmacy
  • RSL Mary Street
